What is A.N.S.W.E.R.? Created by Mr. Elliot Palmer, A New Start While Empowering Recovery (A.N.S.W.E.R.) aims to help individuals and agencies interested in working in the field of mental health and substance use disorders. Our goal is to help you gain the training, knowledge and skills you need to be successful, while improving the overall health and wellness of those in the workplace and the community. 

What is WRAP? The Wellness Recovery Action Plan® or WRAP®, is a self-designed prevention and wellness process that anyone can use to get well, stay well and make their life the way they want it to be.

Training and Services

  • WRAP- 20-HOUR TRAINING: Those interested in becoming NC Peer Support Specialists must complete a 40-hour PSS training as well as a 20-hour related training, such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan or WRAP.  A.N.S.W.E.R. provides WRAP training to satisfy this state requirement. 
  • WRAP FACILITATOR TRAINING: This facilitator training provides an experiential learning environment based on mutuality. Participants in this course will be expected to participate in interactive learning activities and demonstrate their own experience with WRAP. Prerequisite: You must have familiarity with the different parts of WRAP through completion of  Level I WRAP Training.   
  • CPR/ FIRST AID: Certified by the American Heart Association in instruction, we offer CPR and First Aid for individuals who are required to have certification for the workplace, school or personal use.   
  • BLS (Basic Life Saving for Professionals) 
  • PEER SUPPORT TRAINING AND SERVICES -  We offer certified in peer support services and peer support training facilitation.
